Project Introduction
The Clinic Referral Hub was designed to simplify and streamline the referral process for medical patients between clinics and healthcare practices. The platform enables healthcare providers to quickly coordinate additional consultations, improving collaboration between medical organizations and ensuring patients receive timely specialist care.
The system uses web applications and AWS IoT 1-Click buttons to allow referral initiators in one medical organization to instantly notify another clinic about the need for a patient consultation. Once a referral is created, the receiving organization is immediately informed through automated email and SMS notifications, enabling specialists to review the request and schedule the consultation as quickly as possible.
The platform also includes a dedicated Admin Web Application that provides tools for managing the referral system. Administrators can create virtual referral buttons, assign physical AWS IoT 1-Click devices, manage specialists and team assignments, and maintain a detailed log of referral events and interactions.
This solution improves the efficiency of communication between healthcare providers while helping clinics deliver faster and more coordinated patient care.

Project’s Specifics

Results

1) Streamlined Referral Process:
Medica1. Streamlined Referral Process
Medical clinics can easily initiate and manage patient referrals through web applications and connected IoT devices. This significantly reduces administrative workload by minimizing paperwork and phone coordination. Referral initiators can quickly send patient information to receiving clinics, accelerating the consultation process.
2. Improved Patient Care
Patients benefit from faster access to specialized medical services. Efficient referral management allows healthcare providers to schedule consultations more quickly, enabling earlier diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions and improving overall patient outcomes.
3. Enhanced Communication Between Clinics
The platform enables secure, real-time communication between referring and receiving healthcare organizations. Automated notifications via email and SMS ensure that referral information is delivered promptly and accurately, reducing the risk of missed or delayed consultations.
4. Increased Operational Productivity
The Clinic Referral Hub reduces manual data entry and simplifies administrative workflows. Healthcare professionals can spend less time managing referrals and more time focusing on patient care, improving overall clinic productivity and operational efficiency.
5. Efficient Resource Allocation
Medical organizations can better manage their specialist resources by scheduling consultations based on urgency and availability. The administrative web application provides tools for managing specialists, monitoring referral activity, and optimizing clinic operations.
