Project Introduction
Remote patient monitoring has become a key standard in modern healthcare and is widely used across hospitals, long-term care facilities, outpatient clinics, emergency departments, and private practices.
Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) is a technology-driven approach that enables healthcare providers to track patients’ health and medical conditions remotely. It utilizes connected devices, sensors, and communication tools to collect and transmit real-time patient data.
In this project, we developed an RPM solution designed to monitor patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.
The main objective is to improve the efficiency of collecting patient data, especially vital signs, and ensure fast, reliable delivery of this information to healthcare professionals.
Project’s Specifics

Scope of Project
1. BLE-Based Mobile App for Medical Device Integration
Our team developed a mobile application that seamlessly connects Android tablets with medical devices via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The app enables real-time patient data transfer, improving care quality and supporting faster clinical decision-making.
2. Cloud Connectivity & Integration Development
The solution supports secure communication with multiple cloud services, ensuring smooth integration of cloud-based features. It also includes performance monitoring to maintain reliability and optimize cloud operations.
3. Business Requirements Analysis
This phase focuses on gathering and analyzing business and system requirements to ensure the solution aligns with healthcare workflows and objectives.
4. Project Delivery & Coordination Management
Project activities include coordination, performance tracking, and timeline management in alignment with business and technical requirements.
5. Software Testing & Quality Assurance
Functional, usability, and load testing of medical equipment apps and devices.
Results

1. Supports accurate vital data collection by nursing staff
RPM solutions allow healthcare providers to capture critical patient data directly from care environments such as nursing homes.
2. Minimizes the risk of data entry errors
RPM systems use connected devices, sensors, and mobile applications to automatically collect and transmit patient data in real time. This includes vital signs, medication adherence, and other key health metrics, helping providers detect issues early and respond faster.
3. Accelerates data collection across multiple patients
Nurses can efficiently gather accurate patient readings from a single set of medical devices within a short period of time.
4. Gives doctors immediate access to updated data and patient history
Remote patient monitoring delivers timely alerts and continuous data updates, enabling medical teams to respond quickly and provide more efficient, cost-effective, and patient-centered care.
