Scope of Project

The Smart EV Charging Station system includes the development of an integrated hardware and software architecture designed for real-time monitoring, management, and optimization of EV charging infrastructure.

At the hardware level, a smart charging controller is implemented to connect directly to EV charging stations through standard communication interfaces such as RS-232 and RS-485. This controller collects real-time data on charging sessions, energy consumption, and station performance, transmitting this information to the cloud via Wi-Fi or cellular networks.

The backend infrastructure is built on a scalable cloud platform using Amazon Web Services (AWS). This environment processes large volumes of data, manages booking systems, supports dynamic pricing models, and ensures secure communication between all components of the platform. The cloud architecture is designed to provide high availability, data security, and seamless scalability as the number of connected charging stations grows.

A centralized management system enables charging station owners to control all aspects of their operations, including scheduling, pricing, transaction tracking, and usage analytics. This system provides full visibility into charging activity and allows operators to optimize performance and revenue generation.

In addition, native mobile applications are developed for both iOS and Android platforms, providing a seamless user experience for EV drivers and station owners. EV users can search for nearby charging stations, check availability in real time, reserve charging slots, make payments, and navigate to selected locations. Station owners can manage availability, monitor station usage, track earnings, and control access remotely.
