Carelia’s Smart Water Treatment solution is an advanced hardware and software platform designed to improve efficiency, reliability, and control across industrial water treatment processes.
Smart Water Treatment is a comprehensive system that enables continuous monitoring and analysis of key parameters within industrial environments. Its core objective is to provide operators and plant managers with real-time insights into water conditions and equipment performance, allowing early detection of issues and prevention of failures. This is achieved through automated data collection, intelligent analytics, and clear data visualization.


High-speed encoder data is processed by the PLC and transmitted wirelessly via a Wi-Fi access point. This real-time data streaming eliminates the need for local internet connectivity, providing a flexible and portable solution for depth measurement operations.
The PLC module includes an external “Zero Point” button, essential for precise calibration. When the drilling equipment reaches the starting position, operators can set a reference point with a single press, ensuring consistent and accurate measurements throughout the process.
By combining Siemens PLC technology, intuitive controls, wireless data transmission, and zero-point calibration, the DepthMetrics Automation Initiative significantly improves depth measurement automation. The solution enhances accuracy, operational efficiency, and usability across drilling and industrial applications.

The Smart Water Treatment solution consists of several integrated components operating within a unified ecosystem:
Smart Monitoring Device for Water Treatment Systems: A specialized hardware unit designed to connect to industrial water treatment systems. It collects data on water quality (input and output), physico-chemical parameters, and equipment performance, transmitting this data to the cloud for further analysis.
Cloud Platform for Data Processing: All data is securely stored in a centralized cloud environment, ensuring reliable storage, structured processing, and easy access for analysis and monitoring.
CRM Platform with Data Visualization: The system includes a user-friendly CRM interface that provides real-time access to data through dashboards, charts, and reports. This enables operators to monitor performance, analyze trends, and gain full visibility into system operations.
Predictive Maintenance Module: An integrated predictive maintenance capability uses collected data and analytics to identify potential issues in advance. This allows teams to perform proactive maintenance, reducing downtime and operational costs.
